Arshad Nadeem Returns Home Tonight

🇵🇰 Arshad Nadeem Set to Arrive in Lahore Tonight

Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s celebrated Olympic and Asian champion, is scheduled to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport at 10:20 PM tonight. This marks his return after securing a gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 held in Gumi, South Korea.

🥇 A Historic Victory in Gumi

Competing in his first international event since the Paris 2024 Olympics, Nadeem achieved a remarkable 86.40-meter throw, clinching the top spot in the men’s javelin final. His performance outpaced India’s Sachin Yadav (85.16m) and Japan’s Yuta Sakiyama (83.75m), both of whom recorded personal bests.

This victory is particularly significant as it marks Pakistan’s first gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships in over 50 years, the last being in 1973.

🙏 Gratitude to the Nation

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Nadeem expressed his appreciation:

“It is because of all your prayers that Allah made me successful in the finals, and gave respect to Pakistan, when I won gold at the Asian Athletics Championship.”

He also acknowledged the efforts of his coach, Salman Iqbal Butt, stating that the victory was a result of their combined hard work.

🏅 Building on Olympic Success

Nadeem’s recent triumph adds to his illustrious career. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, he made history by delivering a 92.97-meter throw, setting a new Olympic and Asian record, and securing Pakistan’s first-ever Olympic gold in athletics.

🎉 Anticipated Hero’s Welcome

Preparations are underway to welcome Nadeem back home. Fans and officials are expected to gather at the airport to celebrate his achievement, reflecting the nation’s pride in his accomplishments.
